Charlie Cox (Stardust) has been cast as the lead of CBS’ drama pilot The Ordained, executive produced by Frank Marshall. Directed by RJ Cutler from a script by Lisa Takeuchi Cullen, The Ordained centers on Tom Reilly (Cox), the son of a Kennedy-esque family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated. Cullen and Robert Zotnowski co-executive produce, while Marshall, Larry Shuman and A.B. Fischer exec produce for CBS TV Studios. Brit Cox recently co-starred on HBO’s mob drama Boardwalk Empire and had a small part on Downton Abbey. On The Ordained, he joins Nestor Serrano.

Will give this a try
Exciting news. Les was considering him for the role of Chuck Thrust in the LOGJAMMERS pilot. BTW – anyone read the rewrite Samples & Hill did on that thing?
Wasn’t Charlie Cox the name of the third lead in the LOGJAMMERS pilot? Someone needs to make that!!!
Is Logjammers an adaptation of that movie in THE BIG LEBOWSKI?
Loved this dude in BOARDWALK EMPIRE – he was great!
He looks like Scott Foley with a beard. Never heard of him.
YOur loss. He is incredible. So happy!
he LEAVES the priesthood, to become a lawyer, to save his sister from an assassination attempt? aah, not much urgency in this pilot, is there? (Because lawyers ALWAYS jump in the way of a bullet. they’re brave that way….)
And yes, I read the pilot. Yawn.
Love Charlie Cox! He’s a huge talent. And I don’t know what you’re talking about Pedro, this script was fantastic. And Charlie is perfect for it. It’s not the usual CBS procedural paint by numbers.
Yeah, seriously, Pedro. Save the yawn for a pilot that deserves it.
This is a well-paced, well-written script with interesting characters who don’t have to beat you over the head with their individuality or with some unusual character quirks in order to come across as real and interesting (unlike some other pilots). I just finished reading this, and I for one am VERY glad to find out Cox is being cast as the lead. I wish these guys luck.
He was so good on boardwalk empire. This premise doesn’t sound very good, but who knows.
LOGJAMMERS = F minus
One of the better scripts this pilot season. Not likely a break out hit but it should do alright.
Hope it’s a hit; loved him on Boardwalk Empire and sad he was killed off.
