The drama is based on a Rolling Stone article published last summer about Lisette Lee, who portrayed herself to be an heiress to the Samsung fortune, as well as an actress, singer and model. She faked all of that, and beneath the bling were secrets, lies and private jets filled with weed. After his Sundance sensation Hustle & Flow, Brewer directed Black Snake Moan and last helmed the Footloose remake. He also was one of the writers who scripted the Tarzan project at Warner Bros that landed David Yates to direct. Brewer is also directing for Fox the pilot Boomerang, which stars Felicity Huffman and Anthony LaPaglia.
