The CW must really want Malese Jow in a new show. She was in the Shelter pilot last year as well. Oxygen sounds somewhat interesting, but I’m not sure I’m totally sold on it. The Tomorrow People sounds like it has potential. If it’s anything like the first season of Heroes, I’m in.
If its anything like the second, third and fourth seasons of Heroes, I’m out.
The Tomorrow People should be pretty awesome; it’s a series that could use a modern remake. The early-80s British version was pretty cool.
I’ve been around a lot of A-list actresses. Lots. Oscar winners. Girls on covers. Girls who open movies. All those girls you know. I once spent an afternoon with Malese. I thought I would burst into flame if I looked at her directly. In person, one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever seen. I have no idea if she can act. I don’t even know how she reads on-screen. But in person… like nothing I’ve ever seen.
Berlanti is a hack. He blows his wad 1/4 through all his projects. If Tomorrow People is going to last it’s going to be because of Julie Plec, not Berlanti, his taste is below bland.
Oxygen sound interesting and engaging. It has a small town feel to it which appeals to most.
I really hope this isn’t yet another flop pilot for Malese Jow. She is way too talented not to be on screen.
Looking forward to seeing Luke on American TV! He’s gonna be a big star…
The Tomorrow People actually sounds pretty interesting albeit a little rip-offy (X-MEN, MUTANT X, The 4400 even) I do not see it making it to series though.
The original series predates most of those properties and a show can’t rip-off multiple stories at the same time.
No one has a copyright on heroes with powers.
Tomorrow people sounds amazing and the new star – Words fail me. Yummy!!
What is it with Hollywood and Australian guys? They get off the plane and get handed a pilot or a huge feature. Are Aussies the new Canadians?
I like the casting choices so far but think that Matt lanter should get a leas in one of these two shows. As well as laura vandervoort and Steven mcqueen.
Jow was in Vampire Diaries as Anna and I like her on that show. Hopefully she can do a good job in Oxygen.
Does no one remember that Nickelodeon already did ‘The Tomorrow People’.? In the early 90s it starred Naomie Harris. I’m interested in this pilot, but ppl don’t seem to remember the 90s one..
KisforKAM …And Alexandra Milman, and Christian Tessier, and the scrumptious guy who played General Damon and the chica that played Lisa.
Whenever I’ll hear about this new version, I keep wanting to say it’s the ‘next stage in human revolution.’
And no offense to Malese Jow (who sent me here, BTW), but ‘Oxygen’ kinda wiffs of ‘Roswell’ to me.
Or the British version from the mid-late 70s that was the origin for the 90′s remake on Nick.
I heard that there are still openings for smaller roles, some possibly reoccuring on this show! I am supposed to be hearing from my agent soon what exactly I’m auditioning for, but I am so in love with this pilot I just can’t wait to know what exactly I’m getting myself into. If anyone has any information on what kind of characters and such they’re looking for right now I’d love to hear about it!
thanks
