Endemol North America has promoted four executives: Caroline Baumgard to EVP Development, Rob Smith to EVP Programming; Rob Day to EVP Production, and Ron Milkes to EVP Operations, Strategy and Corporate Development. The four will continue to be based in Los Angeles and report to David Goldberg, Chairman and CEO, Endemol North America.
Baumgard will continue to spearhead all non-scripted development; Smith will continue to oversee all of Endemol USA’s on-air series. Baumgard and Smith, who joined Endemol USA in 2002, have helped build Endemol USA’s slate of reality series with shows like Deal Or No Deal, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Wipeout. Day, who has worked with Endemol since 2003, will continue to oversee unscripted and consult on scripted programming.
Endemol has been making strides in scripted programming with its first scripted series, AMC’s Hell On Wheels, followed by ABC series Red Widow and AMC’s Low Winter Sun, both co-produced by Endemol Studios. The company also produces freshman daytime syndicated talk show Steve Harvey, which was recently renewed by NBCUniversal for a second season and was upgraded on stations across the country.
