Felicity Huffman is taking on another role of a housewife, this one with a double life. The Desperate Housewives alumna is set to star in Fox‘s drama pilot Boomerang, from John Wells Prods and Warner Bros TV. Written by Davey Holmes, the project is about a family who serve as assassins for the federal government. Huffman will play the mom, Margie Hamilton, who is a spy and master of disguise. Holmes and JWP’s John Wells and Andrew Stearn are executive producing. Huffman, who won an Emmy for her role on Desperate Housewives, has been sought after this pilot season, the first since the ABC dramedy ended its eight-season run on ABC. CAA-repped Huffman is the second Desperate Housewives star to book a pilot. Last season, Vanessa Williams did ABC’s 666 Park Avenue, which went to series. Additionally, Desperate Housewives narrator/occasional guest star Brenda Strong is on TNT’s Dallas.
TV Editor Nellie Andreeva - tip her here.

Let’s just hope once this pilot is aired out there•••it doesn’t come back and hit her in the head.
BOOMERANG -a new show about a family of assassins for the government… Sounds like just another CIA, NSA, FBI or Homeland Security show.
I think you can say, we have for too many federal government assassins as it is. Is this the new normal for TV entertainment now!
@Permindex: Yes, it is!! It’s called “Follow….not lead!
She was so great in Showtime series Out Of Order.
This show sounds really interesting. I hope Fox picks it up.
Read the script last night, it’s really funny and smart (very different from Homeland, etc). Hope it turns out as well as it reads (don’t screw it up, Fox!). But I think casting Felicity is a great start.
Read that Anthony Lapaglia is in it to and I love him.
