Fox’s midseason series The Goodwin Games has finally been assigned a premiere date. The comedy will have a summer run, launching on May 20 at 8:30 PM and running for seven consecutive weeks. While not officially cancelled, Goodwin Games is considered dead, and its cast members were allowed by Fox to take other jobs. T.J. Miller and Melissa Tang have booked pilots, while Scott Foley is recurring on ABC’s Scandal with an option to become a regular.

Sad that it didn’t have a chance, but at least we get to see it
I saw the first 3 episodes. Nothing to feel sad about. It’s awful.
Still working on that pitiful spec? Go get my coffee.
Look, Boss, I’ll get you your coffee but that doesn’t change the fact that your show sucked.
You’re right about my spec, though. It’s pretty awful
Great cast, great show. Too bad about only seven eps. Good job, Kevin.
I don’t know why they don’t just stick it on Tuesdays at 8:30 to fill in for Ben and Kate.
Wasn’t this one of the seasons most promising sitcoms? What happened!
Kevin Reilly is what happened.
Won’t they feel funny if it turns out to be a hit?
Why didn’t they just stick to the original cast it would have been a big hit. Some times it’s better to leave thing’s as they were in the beginning. Halarious preview back in May 2012……
Becki Newton can’t catch a break.
I was just about to say the same. First Love Bites and now this.
She’s amazing. The rare combo of (a) beauty and (b) can act her way out of a paper bag. She needs to be in a keeper.
If they wanted TJ Miller so bad, they should have just picked up Little Brother instead if the stupid Mindy Project or the sappy Ben and Kate.
Sure, let’s put it up against the incredibly likely night that CBS will have their comedy finales, including the Barney and Robin wedding on HIMYM. I’m guessing its lead in will be NEW GIRL reruns?
Ryan, is this true? I thought HIMYM was on at 8. Will the wedding be an hourlong episode on that same night? I tried to look this up but can’t find the information online anywhere. If so, that is a piece of scheduling evil genius unrivaled in the world of television, to pit their own shows against eachother like that. But if not, maybe people will watch the HIMYM wedding then switch to Fox for Goodwin Games?
Yes I know Tivo exists but still, that’s just cruel.
