James Wolk is set to co-star opposite Robin Williams in Crazy Ones, CBS‘ single-camera workplace comedy pilot written by David E. Kelley and directed by Jason Winer. The project, from 20th Century Fox TV, is set at the Lewis, Roberts & Roberts Ad Agency and stars Williams as Simon Roberts, the brilliant head of the agency who is working alongside his daughter. Wolk will play Zach Cropper, a confident and charming copywriter at the ad agency. Per the role breakdown: “he is George Clooney — cool, only better looking.” Kelley and Winer executive produce the pilot with Bill D’Elia, Winer, Dean Lorey, John Montgomery and Mark Teitelbaum. This marks Wolk’s return to 20th TV where he played the lead in the studio’s Fox drama series Lone Star. Wolk, repped by WME, Greenlight Management and attorney Amy Nickin, recently co-starred in USA Network’s limited drama series Political Animals.

James wolk is one great actor.
I thought that too until he was kind of bad in Political Animals
I love Wolk. Will watch it for him. Had hoped to see him return to Happy Endings. Though right now I’m just hoping that brilliant show somehow survives. If it’s canceled maybe TBS will come to the rescue.
I completely agree with you. Wolk is a definite keeper. Hopefully this doesn’t go the way of Lone Star (which I secretly still miss terribly).
I love James Wolk, he is awesome
Wolk is a great actor who seems to get stuck in series that end up cancelled, but not sure this will be the best vehicle for him. Unless someone has figured out a way to tame William’s penchant for over-the-top acting and unnecessary improvisation Wolk will be constantly overshadowed.
Robin can tone his stuff down. Just watch World’s Greatest Dad.
I love James Wolk. He is both gifted at comedy and drama, and he easily held his own opposite Sigourney Weaver, Ciarán Hinds , and Jon Voight. Yes, he is a keeper and deserves a big time film career. I have to agree about Robin Williams’ annoying over-the-top acting style. Their are times that it seems like he cannot control himself.
Jimmy, is amazing, I’ve known him back in his frist walking shoes. He needs the right film and he Will take off! He will some day be more then u know given the time. He is so good I love his acting in time everyone will know who he is .
