June Diane Raphael is set to topline ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot Pulling, based on the praised 2006 British series. Raphael will star opposite Mandy Moore in the pilot, written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky and directed by Jason Moore, which revolves around three dysfunctional women in their 30s living their lives the way they want, even if society tells them they should have it all figured out by this point. Raphael will play the lead, Donna, whose seemingly perfect life suddenly falls apart, and she moves back in with her single best friends Karen and Louise (Moore). Raphael was attached to play one of the leads in another ABC comedy about three female friends this season, The Housewives, which she co-wrote with Casey Wilson. The project, from Sony TV and Will Gluck, had a put pilot commitment but missed out on a green light. Raphael and Wilson also sold comedy Walk Of Shame to ABC last season.  Upright Citizens Brigade alumna Raphael, repped by UTA and the Collective, was recently seen in Imogene. Pulling is produced by ABC Studios and Kapital Entertainment , with Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly, creators of the original series, executive producing with Eisenberg, Stupnitsky and Aaron Kaplan
