EXCLUSIVE: Fresh off her appearance both before and at the end of the Oscars, Kristin Chenoweth will reappear this week in
the feature film Family Weekend. ARC Entertainment and Footprint Features said today it will release the Benjamin Epps-directed comedy on premium VOD on Thursday, and put it in theaters beginning March 29. Matthew Modine, Olesya Rulin, Joey King and Shirley Jones co-star in the pic, which follows 16-year-old Emily (Rulin) an incredibly motivated overachiever who has grown increasingly frustrated with her parents’ lack of support and guidance, and she and her siblings unite to take their parents (Chenoweth, Modine) hostage in an effort to become a family again. Matt K. Turner penned the screenplay, and Footprint’s Adam Saunders and Chris Aronoff produced in association with The Bedford Falls Co. Youmi N. Ma is executive producer.

Do you smell that? No, what is it? I think it’s a bomb in the making.
It was absolutely painful watching her greet stars on the red carpet. Can’t they find people who are GOOD at those types of gigs? I seem to remember some far more professional and classy people in years passed (way passed).
It was not only painful, it was embarrassing. She was sycophantic to everyone she talked to; she made the whole profession seem like 6 year old girls playing dress up. It was all about her and her size and her feelings about anything. Just unbearable to watch.
I agree with Wicked. Might I add, she is one of several “annoying” women….add her to the list with Sally Fields.
Dubya Eye, Double N, EE BEE AY, GEE-OH, WINNEBAGO, Uncle Adam, Uncle Adam, Uncle Adam!!!
Gollum called. He wants his wife back.
Don’t y’all have better things to do than bash celebrities on the internet? Kristin is a wonderful woman, and I believe she did an excellent job hosting the live Red Carpet. Could you imagine how hard it would be to stand up in front of millions of people and do something like that? You guys all need to get off the internet and stop picking on people you’ve never met. Just don’t watch it if you’re not a fan. She can’t please everyone.
I can’t wait for this movie!
I knew who Chenoweth was but had never seen her speak. OMG, she was SO embarrassingly unwatchable, which sucked because I wanted to see the beautiful dresses & actresses on the red carpet.
How hard can it be to be a greeter for 20 seconds?!?! Wouldn’t it go something like “Hello, , you look radiant this evening. Are you having fun? Who are you wearing?” (see, it isn’t too hard).
NOT “How tall are you??? I (that would be ME, Kristin Chenoweth!!!!) I am 4 feet 11 inches!!! Can I stand next to you??? Oh, you’re tall, not short like ME ME ME ME ME!!!! KRISTIN CHENOWETH!!!!!”
I find it impossible to believe that in LOS ANGELES no one can be found who knows how to be cordial and classy and ask Interviewer 101 questions…
Krikie!! If she had “interviewed” me I would have picked my jaw up off the floor and turned around and walked away.
People say Kristin Chenoweth is jaw dropingly beautiful. Really? I am trying real hard to see what these lavishers of lusty praise see. She seems like a ‘plain jane’ to me. Then again, people say Jennifer Anniston is beautiful too. Again, my eyes betray me. Do women in Hollywood get “extra credit” points by virtue of just being blonde-ish, thin-ish & white-ish? Sure seems that way. I say Kerry Washington blows away so many of the so-called “beautiful” gals in Hollywood. Amazingly, she doesn’t garner a fraction of the publicity or attention. Sigh.
