Hasbro Studios today laid off the three staffers in its Game & Reality Show Production & Development department under VP Kevin Belinkoff. Belinkoff will continue to oversee the studio’s game show efforts, including current series Family Game Night for sibling HUB network as Hasbro remains committed to the genre. But its game show/reality projects will be handled on a consultant basis. That is the model Hasbro Studios uses on the animation side, where it has produced 850 half-hours with an in-house senior executive working with outside creative consultants.

It didn’t stop them from laying off key animation staff.
A real shame. Mandel Ilagan is one of the best and brightest when it comes to game, in addition to just being an all-around nice guy.
But he’ll land on his feet very quickly.
Kevin, Mandel and all the Hasbro/HUB folks are good, solid people. Unfortunately, the network/studio (or whatever the hell it is) is practically non-existent. Somebody get out there in hype these shows.
I know there’s reality TV for just about everything, but are there many reality shows produced for the younglings who buy Hasbro products?
wow the company that made transformers has/had a “reality” department
Belinkoff is a great executive. He’s smart and has great instincts. They really don’t need anyone else but him, but it’s sad they fired his entire staff. He deserves better.
I like all these people and they will land on their feet.
