• I’ve always wondered if she’s difficult. She managed to chase away two very talented co-stars (Polly Holliday, Diane Ladd) on her old series. And then she made a bit of a splash on the grandmother on “The O.C.” (and was very good) but after two guest appearances, she was never mentioned again.

  • But that’s what The OC was known for. They’d have a guest star appear for half the season then disappear and NEVER be heard from again. Like Seth’s sister or whatever.

  • Polly Holliday starred in her own spinoff – Flo. That can hardly be “chasing” someone away. I’m sure the hope was that Flo would be a success. As for why Diane Ladd left, no idea… Wikipedia claims she clashed with co-stars so you could be right about that, but that’s speculation.
