Marc Blucas (Necessary Roughness) will co-star opposite Tricia Helfer in ABC’s drama pilot Killer Women, from ABC Studios. Parenthood director/executive producer Lawrence Trilling has signed on to direct the pilot written by Hannah Shakespeare. Based on the Argentine series Mujeres Asesinas, it centers on Molly Parker (Helfer), the only woman in the notoriously male Texas Rangers — a ballsy, beautiful badass who knows how to get to the truth and isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers along the way. Blucas will play Dan, a DEA office who used to date Molly and is still in love with her. Trilling is with CAA and Karl Austen.

Larry Trilling is a great guy and a wonderful director, but I’m wondering why ABC didn’t hire a woman? This pilot seems tailor made for a female director.
The entire network is for women now its okay if they have one male director
This sounds more like a reboot of Chase than it does of Mujeres Asesinas….
Another great drama pilot headed to ABC. WTH? Suddenly, ABC got itself on a roll again.
Great casting..
IM really looking forward to seeing this one..
script rocks..

Wonder what that means for his role on ‘Necessary Roughness’ which was renewed for a 3rd season? Either way I’ve loved Blucas since ‘Buffy’ so I’m good.
For this show to work it needs to be authentic to the argentine series version of mujeres asesinas or else it wont work….
