• I hope screenwriter Slater has read his share of the Lee/ Kirby FF masterpieces and has based his script on those books. With their excellent scope, action, and, more importantly, CHARACTERIZATION (-something that has been missing in ALL the Marvel books for the last 40
  years) those are the pinnacle of FF storytelling. The rest is just regurgitation.

  • If you read Jeremy’s work you’d know Fox is the one getting the favor, with the way their Marvel properties have been handled.

• Agree with fluffo. They have it all layed out for them with the Lee/Kirby books and, you know what?, they will conveniently ignore it because they will assume they have “a BETTER idea”.

• Why would they bother with Vaughn? The guy who almost single-handedly ruined First Class by going over schedule and over budget, all whilst impregnating that mannequin January Jones. Figured Fox would have learned their lesson…. but at least he isn’t directing.

  • Loved First Class, loved January Jones. I don’t get the hate on her. Is it because she’s a bitch as Betty Draper on Mad Men and people are transferring that dislike to her other roles? And don’t say she can’t act while Hollywood rams all these generic CW/ABC Family chicks down our throats.

    As for First Class, loved the retro direction of it. I’m only sorry they’re going to wreck it by mashing it up with the present-day X-Men in the next movie.
