EXCLUSIVE: How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris has left Paradigm where he had been a client for seven years. With the show coming to an end this coming season, I hear the actor felt he was closing a chapter and wanted a fresh start. Harris has been meeting with other agencies; it is unclear yet where he will be headed. “Neil is a tremendous talent, a wonderful man and we wish him nothing but continued extraordinary success,” Paradigm said. Harris joined Paradigm after the first season of HIMYM, following the retirement from agenting of William Morris’ Steve Dontanville who put him on the show. At Paradigm, Harris went through several renegotiations for the hit CBS series, including the most recent one for the upcoming ninth and final season. He also did two stints as host and producer of the Tony Awards, which earned him two Emmy Awards. (He also won an Emmy in 2010 for his guest stint on Glee and has landed four nominations for HIMYM). On the feature side, while at Paradigm Harris became the star of The Smurfs franchise. He also made his directorial debut, helming a 2011 pilot for CBS.

I love this man!!!!!! Plain and simple. His Tony hosting is the best. Good luck to him and his family in whatever comes next. Much more success no doubt.

That sucks. I love Neil and I love Paradigm. Yep, not ragging on it at all. I’m a manager with a client there and they do great work for him. People leave for lots of reasons- and not just because the agency has issues.
How about we say nice things about all agencies except APA. That would make sense to me
what a horrible decline for paradigm. and to think people used to consider it a top5. what is going ON over there? when did it turn into such a toxic dump?
They did nothing for him. They do nothing for any of their clients. It’s sad. they are seriously completely out of touch with the market. they are not even a booking agency like gersh or kohner. they have no identity.
They have no starts left. Look at the agents working there.. i mean really. Nice work SGO! Real smart.

Sam’s individual office suite in the Paradigm building is bigger than the offices of Emanuel, Whitesell, Lovett, Lourd and Huvane combined. That says it all. So out of touch with reality.
So looks like Shailene Woodley will be the only person bringing revenue into Paradigm, they better hope they don’t lose her too.
Um that girl still has a lot to prove before you see any real money in. Seriously. Good thing SGO is a billionaire that overhead must be daunting.
He should go to Resolution. That would be a great fit for NPH.
Unfortunate for Chris, who is a fantastic woman and agent. The best in that place. What happened to all that talk from their fierce self-appointed “leader” Debbee about the killer year ahead for Paradigm in 2013? Writing’s on the wall, no management, & completely out of touch – keep clinging on to Julie B, Adrien B and Shailene folks!

Those 3 clients Julie B Adrien and shailene really? wow sure is alot of overhead to be groveling for that. Just goes to show you its not just how big the building or how nice the address is… The best way for SGO to make money on the digm is to shutter.
Paradigm is a great agency with great agents who love their jobs and clients who love their agents. This does not change that.
Agencies lose and gain clients all the time. Just making nasty comments is poor form. Act like educated adults, keep the personal attacks out of the conversation. It’s not helping anyone.
Shailene Woodley is still with them and they just booked her two massive films.
Having worked here in the past, I know this place is a joke. The talent department has no stars, the talent agents are all jokes. The MP Lit department is a joke outside of David Boxerbaum who will soon leave for greener pastures. Thank god I left!
Shailene Woodley is not a star. They just have nothing else to sell. Every time they call me for updates I want to hang myself with the phone cord. Studios hate you. You’re all bad at your jobs and leave me alone and just call the casting director. Or learn how to be agents. Idiots. All of them. And ps studios don’t consider adrien Brody a name. Enough already.
