Here’s an international trailer for Oblivion, the Tom Cruise sci-fi pic directed by Tron: Legacy‘s Joseph Kosinski. Cruise plays a drone repairman on an abandoned Earth who after rescuing a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft stumbles upon survivors of a devastating alien war. Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Melissa Leo, Zoe Bell and Andrea Riseborough co-star. Universal releases it April 12 in IMAX and April 19 wide. First impression: Why when we see Cruise’s character Jack Harper do we say in our heads Jack Reacher?

I can see this being a win for IMAX & Universal.
Looking forward to this one.
It looks like a lot of fun.
Like TRON, it looks nice, but the story feels a bit by the numbers.
THAT… looks DOPE. I’ll totally go see that.
Sorry, but no interest in watching this if there is a 30 second commercial in front of what is essentially a commercial. Please people.
Looks really really good and much better than the first trailer. Why is it that Universal’s international trailers always look more polished and better than the domestic trailer? I’ve noticed that with a lot of their films.
so……………….it’s the matrix?
I’m simply amazed at how the international trailers top the domestic ones in overall quality. I’m also amazed at how Tom looks younger and younger as the years go on.
Clones.
Damn, that looks awesome.
That looks like the same scene over and over again…
I’m all about SciFi. Here’s to hoping this isn’t by the book.
I usually do not see TC films. He just doesn’t appeal to me as an actor. The personal life is another story.
Yet, I am intrigued by this. I will wait to see what my fav critics have to say.
Lawrence Fishburne has really aged since ‘Revolutions’, no?
Doesn’t look bad- but I don’t go to Tom’s movies anymore. He plays the same person again & again and just changes the script. What a waste of money this is
