Rebecca De Mornay and Nick Westrate have been cast as leads in NBC’s hourlong pilot Hatfields & McCoys, a take on the infamous feud set in present-day Pittsburgh. The startling death of the McCoy patriarch re-ignites the feud between the two legendary families, unleashing decades of resentment. De Mornay will play the central character of Mary Hatfield, the Mayor of Pittsburgh and matriarch of the powerful Hatfields, who basically run the city through their development company and political connections. Westrate will play Randall Hatfield, Mary’s smug son.
Lincoln Lewis has been cast in ABC‘s Romeo & Juliet-esque pilot Venice, about the haves and the have-nots of California’s most seductive city, Venice. It focuses on two rival families, the Nances and the Carvers, and a forbidden and dangerous romance emerging between them as the families battle for control of the city. Lewis, repped by ROAR, Gersh, and Mark Morrissey and Associates in Australia, will play Shealy Carver, the son of Lisa Carver (Jennifer Beals). Shealy was bitterly upset that his brother Chris jeopardized the family by spending six years in prison, and is stewing with poorly suppressed anger when Chris is welcomed home with open arms.
Marta Milans has joined another ABC drama pilot, Killer Women, which centers on Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer), the only woman in the notoriously male Texas Rangers — a ballsy, beautiful badass who knows how to get to the truth and isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers along the way. Milans, repped by TalentWorks and manger Jennifer Wiley, will play Nessa, Molly’s sister-in-law and friend.

I have always liked Rebecca De Mornay. I think she’s made some poor choices in film roles but she is always strong even in weak movies.
Finally, Rebecca Demornay back in anything — she will be AMAZING in this role.
Yay, Hatfields and McCoys, more “presold” garbage. We just had the award-winning Costner version, now another take, this time in modern-day and on broadcast. That this is an NBC project comes as no surprise at this point. No hate on the actors–peeps gotta eat and we have missed Rebecca DeMornay–but damn, this sounds lame.
LOVE Rebecca de Mornay! Will watch her in anything, but would also love to see her matched up with Tom Cruise again.
Yea, Rebecca De Mornay is an exciting edition. I will probably watch now. She was AMAZING in the hand that rocks the cradle and i always wondering why she fell off the face of the earth when she was so good in that.
Finally a show that sounds like it’ll be worth watching. And with Rebecca De Mornay and Virginia Madsen? I’m so there.
Rebecca De Mornay as Virgina Madsen I can’t wait !!!!!!!!
I’m glad that De Mornay will be back on tv.
So proud of my cousin Nick!!!!
When I think Hatfields and McCoys, I think PITTSBURGH.
Seriously? Pittsburgh? The feud is now in modern-day Pittsburgh?
You do realize the appeal of the story is that it’s a rural blood feud, not an urban one, right?
You do realize that if the show gets picked up and is on the verge of airing, that’s when you’ll be probably hit with a lawsuit by the real-life present day Hatfields and McCoys, who will claim they are being defamed as they are not killing and revenging each other any more and in fact have signed a peace treaty in effect to this day between the families?
I know you’re all much smarter than me at NBC, but you Hollywood people do realize all this, yes?
Nick westrate is a farmers son from the Midwest @he is going to make it big in Hollywood!
Just saw Rebecca De Mornay in Boston! Excited, but isn’t it supposed to be in Pittsburgh?
