Sons Of Anarchy alum Rockmond Dunbar is set for a co-starring role in Doubt, ABC’s legal drama written and executive produced by David Shore. The project, from Sony TV, centers on Vincent, a former cop who’s now a cunning but charming low-rent lawyer who uses his street smarts to work the system for his clients while battling his own demons and wooing his ex-wife. Dunbar, repped by Buchwald/Fortitude & LEG Management, plays Detective Steve Adams, Vince’s former partner in the force who now functions as Vince’s best friend and confidante. His directorial debut, Pastor Brown, premiered on Lifetime this month.
Isiah Whitlock Jr (The Wire) is the first actor cast in another ABC drama pilot, Lucky 7, from ABC Studios and Amblin TV. Written by David Zabel and Jason Richman based on the BBC series The Syndicate, Lucky 7 is about seven employees of a service station in Queens whose lives are changed in many unexpected ways when they win a lottery jackpot. Whitlock, repped by Cornerstone Talent Agency and Liebman Entertainment, plays one of them, Bob Harris, the manager of the station who is attacked and injured just prior to finding out that he and six other lucky employees have hit the lottery.

Big Rock fan, was great on Sons
Both pilots sound good, which is nice to see considering the overall blah quality of pilots this year.
Go Rock! Couldn’t happen to a nicer and more talented guy.
What about Jeffrey Wright for the lead in Doubt? He’s a great actor who isn’t getting roles befitting his talent in film. He guested on House so I wonder if David Shore thought of him for the lead.
Go C-Note!
Who gives a shit about SOA.
Millions of viewers and fans give a shit about SOA…
This is great news! I love this guy on SOA even though I don’t think he really had the material to showcase his range. This pilot is definitely a great start to him getting in the position he should be in..which is mainstream. Congrats Sheriff Eli! aka Rockmond.
Rockmond is one of the nicer guys in the business so I’m always rooting for him. Aside from being nice the man can act his back side off. He went toe to toe with Ron Perlman on SOA and did a fantastic job.
