Indie film sales and financing company Solution Entertainment Group has hired Amal ElWardi to head up the company’s Acquisitions and Development department, effective immediately. ElWardi previously served as Head of Acquisitions for IM Global where she acquired several upcoming films for the company, including The Butler, Dead Man Down, Richard Linklater’s Before Midnight, and the Ron Perlman-starring Angry Little God, for which she also served as associate producer. In her new role at The Solution, she will oversee production and finance of new films, as well as acquisition of third party titles for the international market.
Solution Entertainment Group was founded in 2012 by international sales agent Lisa Wilson, formerly of GK Films and founder of affiliate sales company Parlay Films, and film financier Myles Nestel. The company’s upcoming films include Writers, with Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly and Lily Collins, and the Dominic Cooper and Pierce Brosnan thriller November Man.

It’s about time! Amal killed it over at IMG, and always deserved better! Congrats
