TLC is heading back down to Dixie and straight to the trailer park. The network home of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will debut Welcome To Myrtle Manor on March 3 at 10 PM. The ten-part one-hour reality series follows the antics and conflicts of the residents of a long time trailer park community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. As you would expect, the mobile home community has characters of all backgrounds. There’s the landlord whose family has owned the park for generations, the hot dogs on wheels company owners, hairdressers and drag queens, jingle writers, security guards and, as all trailer parks have, Wiccans. I am sick of people who have never been out of NYC except to go to LA taking the poorest and most ignorant from our region and displaying them like zoo animals. I see the Weinsteins are creating it. – why don’t we send a crew to NY and make a show about their most embarassing relatives.
What the hell has happened to this network? Ever since they had a new GM and president instilled there, this person has done nothing but prostitute this network into reality TV hell. When is this craziness going to stop over there? Either fire this person responsible for putting this garbage on the air or rebrand this network into something else as the route they’re going now is just pitiful!
I must agree with you. What has happened To TLC? The only “learning” about this station is to learn NOT to watch their trash. It is so demeaning. What kind of sane person actually remotely likes this trash? Not to mention the idiot BooBoo kid and her retarded people.
What was once The Learning Channel is now The Losers Channel. Amy Winter has jumped the shark in a big way. It’s a network without purpose or pride. Yeah they get ratings but Disco once prided itself of distinguished programming and TLC led the way with useful entertainment.
So, is this what’s called “poverty porn,” where the upper classes get to watch the humorous lives of the less fortunate? -sigh-
I live in Myrtle Beach, Sc. They actually trashed up this perfectly decent trailor park community to make it appeal to television viewers. It’s a crock and a discrace to where I live and grew up. Growing up in a more poverty stricken part of town really hits close to home. This is trash and it’s sad people would call this entertainment.
This is ridiculous. This is disturbing they would even consider this entertainment. I live in myrtle beach currently and the “trashy trailer park” isn’t trashy at all. They may not live in nice houses but the park overall is nice or should I say was considering they trashed up the trailer park to make it appeal trashy for the viewers. This whole thing is really ridiculous if you ask me. Not everyone who lives in a trailer park or trailer is trash this show is stereotypical and fucking disturbing. TLC has become “the losers channel” and is a disgrace to reality television.

If he grew up in Fairmont, then he should go there and trash it up..the whole town is smaller than this trailer park. It is not entertainment and I am tired of those who think they are “in the know” coming south to try and make us look stupid!! I thought if you were from NYC, you were always politically correct..oops, that is a sterotype!!
Stop already with the stinking reality shows from down South…unless you have lived down South you know nothing about it…I will not watch this show….But you beat there will be some real northern peeps who will but they don’t have a problem visiting the nice beaches in SC. There is trailer trash even up North. Lets make a reality show about them as well…
I live in SC and have already heard that the people in it are actors , they do not live there and the trailer park used for the site isn’t really called Myrtle Manor. The people who live around it are upset because they were making fun of the south and basically making everyone out to be a bunch of rednecks, and plus it is all fake , fake , fake , quit calling it Reality TV .
I have a friend that lives in MB and she said the same thing…actors, and not a trailer park by that name…very few locals in the show…the show is fake, as are most “reality” shows. Just a bunch of redneck acting Jersey Shore types. Not everyone in the South behaves this way nor do they all look and act like Honey Boo Boo’s family. The previews are bad enough…I don’t have to watch a full episode to know that I will not be watching! BTW, I have no problem with ANYONE who lives in a trailer/mobile home park, but I DO have a problem with shows portraying Southerners as dumb and trashy! Myrtle Beach is a great family place too…I hope this show doesn’t ruin it!

OMG people! It’s a TV SHOW!!!! It is for entertainment purposes, hello, remember watching a tv show, to laugh and enjoy???? What, did that end with happy days? Come on, lighten up, ok? Maybe you could watch 1 episode before ripping it apart? Huh? Maybe. Granted, honey boo boo is not my thing, however, I do not go on the computer website(s) for that show and bash it, especially without every even watching the first episode. Do you all have nothing better to do??????? Get lives people, seriously…. If you were on a tv show would you want people to bash it without every even seeing 1 episode????? Think about it when your laughing your ass off watching the premier, ok?

I live in north myrtle beach and i can see the recourse of this now. When in-season comes in some dumb ass on the show will say something stupid and it will end up on t-shirt at an eagles store. Then when out of state viewers find out that its here in MB they will flock here like star crazed idiots and mess up my way of life with there rude and inconsiderate actions based on this f-ing show.
Amazing how the nay-sayers seem to be people who themselves are victims of the great stereotyping propaganda. Everyone does not believe or buy into simple and weak-minded stereotypes, because though most people are not “intelligent”, -just the same, most people are smarter than you tend to think or care to realize .Now here’s a nugget worth chewing on: the truly real smart/intelligent people already understand the hyperbolic-ism of show biz and understand that life on earth is too short to sweat the small stuff as it is,…so let alone the non-stuff …. Also Myrtle Manor had to become real and legit for legal purposes alone at both the state (SC), county (HC), and city (MB) levels. Yes, it is a subdivision of Patrick’s Mobile Home Park (so what?) and the same holds true for the beauty salon Tangulls (which is a bonfide/certified/licensed beauty parlor).
Don’t know where ya’ll are getting your information but this trailer park is real myrtle beach manor its right off 17 ….these are not actors by no means……yeah they get paid for every episode but they really live there…those of you that say you live in mb and don’t know where it is really

Let’s get real kids..if someone actually believes that half those people even live there aka Taylor they’re nuts..he may stay there during filming but he has a sweet condo..its entertainment..and its pretty Damn funny

I enjoy this new TV show I once lived in a trialer park and it sure brings back alot of memories …. we had a park boss like Mertile too driving her golf cart around its true not all trailer parks are not TRASH ……but lets face it
its not a show with killing using drugs rape ……SO I really enjoy it I am sorry if this show has sadden hearts to some …….But I would rather watch this than all of the NYPC shows …… Doc. shows ….. I just love all the people in this show and I really love the Fellow who plays
