EXCLUSIVE: Andrew Rannells has signed with UTA. Rannells made his name on Broadway before segueing to television with his first on-screen roles — a lead on NBC’s freshman comedy The New Normal and recurring on HBO’s Girls. On stage, Rannells received a Tony nomination for his starring role in hit musical The Book Of Mormon and also did stints in Hairspray and Jersey Boys. Rannells was with Abrams Artists and continues to be managed by Christie Smith at Mosaic.

why would he leave abrams?!
Bad move by him. He’s not going to get the attention he needs at a place like UTA. Definitely going to be stuck playing the same roles at a place like that.
Nothing but a chorus boy that got lucky. Watch what happens to his career now.
Abrams Artists is so much better than UTA! Andrew made a big mistake!
He will be without an agent or a job in 6months
andrew made a bad move!
Not smart UTA. Abrams got him while he was hot off Mormon. Good luck finding him a new job.
I appreciate that an actor has to strike while the fire is hot, but is this guy the ONLY GAY ACTOR IN HOLLYWOOD? i truly can not stand the sight of his face anymore. talk about over exposed– STOP!
go away for a while. seriously. i was at a party this weekend and heard people talking about what a joke it was that he was on so many shows and how it takes them out of the show because HE IS ON IT!
whatever you want to say about Abrams–they worked their asses off for AR before he had one piece of film on him.
I’m sure he signed with UTA b/c his BFF Lena Dunham is with them.
Andrew is very funny and talented. Sounds like a bunch of unhappy Abrams agents are posting here.
Maybe he’ll get the chance to branch out and stop being the ‘go-to-gay’ for TV
This guy is beyond entertaining. Look forward to seeing more of him. He will be well taken care of over at UTA.
