Looks freaky as f*#@k. Kind of dig it.
Looks better then I thought.
Looks awesome.
This looks excellent and I’m sure no snakes were harmed in the making of this movie.
Why set this in such a fascinating world if you’re going to end up relying on such derivative, high-octane tropes? Looks like an immature and condescending mess to me.
Awesome!!! Everyone in WV. KY. Ohio,Indiana will love this movie…
I am a lay minister and one of those “Holy Ghost People” this is refering to. I am sick of the stigma that ALL Penecostal or Apostolic congregations are into “snake handling” and cultic activity. These kind of “fringe churches and sects” are nothing more than sideshow freaks peddling sensationalism.
I do speak in tongues. I do pray for people with the laying on of hands and the anointing of oil. I do preach with fervency. Why? Because that is biblical teaching.
However, what this film protrays is not biblical teaching, nor is it found in abundance today.
The description is being obscure. I bet if you watch the film you’ll find that the congregation is a group of ex-cons whose faith changed their ways but they were taken advantage of and manipulated by certain individuals. It’s not as simple as being corrupt. And there are snake handling churches, whether or not you handle snakes is irrelevant. I’m a little thrown because it also places a stigma on released convicts but I’m willing to bet that there are heroes in the congregation as well as villains.
