Taco Bell old folks ties Dodge Farmer spot.
Hated the Farmer spot. Too long… too preachy… no idea what the heck it was about until the end.
If you’ve never lived on, seen or worked on a farm, that commercial means nothing. I did, and I think it was outstanding. Too many people do not understand what farmers do.
Samsung Mobile – The Next Big Thing: infringe on Apple’s patents and lose in court.
All Go Daddy
Prom Audi #2
Would love to know how many kiss takes Bar had to do with the tech guy. Lol!
No contest. The ‘Space Babies’ Kia Sorento ad wins hands down.
Laughed the hardest at the Tide commercial. The Dodge farmer commercial went on way too long.
You think 2 minutes is too long to thank our farmers?? Pretty sad….it is not easy work to provide resources for ungrateful people. They are the backbone this country!
Don’t bother. People today don’t get it.
Until there is no food to buy in the grocery stores. City folk never get it until there is a crisis.. and what they don’t understand is that there is a crisis going on in the farming industry. BUT until there is no food on the shelves they won’t get it. I hope they start to learn how to grow their own on their little porches.
Dodge RAM trucks are popular in any area outside of the big city. Until you live out there… people won’t get it nor understand… but that’s okay.. this 2 minute add wasn’t for the city folk… it was for the majority of America.
Clydesdales are always the best. This one made me cry. Too bad that Budweiser is no longer an American beer company.
That commercial was Hand’s down number 1 , in my opinion. It was totally genuine and reminded me of the easy going days gone. “Feel Good and Heartwarming!” (Clydesdale Budweiser commercial)
Taco Bell old people. Hands down the best.
Worst ad I’ve maybe ever seen was the GoDaddy “make out” ad. Unwatchable bad. How you can wrap sexist tropes in with an ad that assumes everyone who works in the tech industry is a undesirable and then think it works.. bah.
Loved the Dodge “Farm” ad, brilliant work even if lifted from Youtube.
Coke had some good ones.
None really “great”.
whIle this has nothing to do with farmers, the ad was very long and drawn out for dodge. My husband hated it as he had no idea what it was advertising for until the end. And the Go Daddy.com was just gross.
It seemed so preachy I thought it was paid for by some conservative religious group. Shocked at the end when I found out it was just a truck commercial!
You people need to do yourselves a favor and get out of the city once in a while. All the stuff in cities is brought in… if that ends what are you going to do? Go milk your own cow??
Dodge ad probably not understood in urban areas. Hit right in the breadbasket of America. Great tie-in farmers and trucks. It’s what they buy, not Hyndai Santa Fe’s KIA’ or RAV4′s. Now do you get it.
They don’t get it… that’s okay… sure is funny driving in snow seeing many Piruses spun out into the ditches along the way! City folk should never make fun of country folk.. without them.. they wouldn’t have the luxury of buying food in the stores!
That is because you and your husband are idiots.
Fun ads this year. Loved Doritos “Goat”, Audi “Prom” and Hyundai “Wishes.” New Budweiser “Black Crown” campaign was DOA as well as Coke’s “Desert Race.”
I LIKED the desert race! (and *psst* I think “Wishes” was Toyota. And it sucked.)
I don’t recall a more uninteresting Super Bowl ad campaign — ever.
They weren’t “bad”, but they certainly weren’t the hilarious beer commercial caliber of Super Bowl old.
Not sure about best ad, but worst ad by far was the preachy, treacly Dodge Ram ad. Here’s hoping every single one of those trucks develop major transmission problems.
Ram and jeep ad have what the other retarded car companies don’t : heart. Your comment screams jealousy “- my favorite auto company drew and quartered a pick up on live tv (chevy)” that was lame, flying babies ? Really?
Your elitist bigotry is very evident. I’m by no means a Chrysler fan, and I grew up in a Northeastern city. That said, I greatly appreciated the reminder of the values that made America the great country it is, or should I say once was. I salute and respect the hard working folks in the Heartland.
You are an idiot.
As an ad man I have to say a single one has my fancy and it’s the Prom ad for Audi. By the way, I generally do not like Audi’s product line-up, it is far too bland/generic/alike across the board in my opinion. Not to say of course that they aren’t technically outstanding vehicles.
I also liked the Prom commercial.
Skeechers with the guy saving the Impala from the Lion.
Psy w/ nuts…not great. If you’re going to sell your name to a product…why nuts? RAM’s “god made farmers”, was beautiful but overly sentimental. Loved the Senoirs running amuck! Go Daddy with kissing sound affects just plain gross. Doritos spots were funny but Bob Odenkirk w/ Seth Rogan for Galaxy was the clear winner…unlike my Niners.
Audi Prom was good. Hyundai team was second.
The farm ad was the worst. Very 1950s Americana except Hispanics are our hardworking farmers and they were totally shut out of ad. Insulting
There was at least one shot of Latinos in that ad. Strangely, it seemed like the only on in black and white.
The farm ad was by far the best. You are telling a lot about yourself to see it like that.
AND they must have never been on farms in the mid-west.
BEST: Dodge Ram farmer ad w/Paul Harvey V.0.; Prom kid kisses prom queen, drives home elated w/black eye; Clydsdales.
WORST: Go Daddy, as always.
Go Daddy lowers the bar year after year.
You can tell how totally out of touch Hollywood is with Middle America just by reading some of these dismissive reactions to the Paul Harvey Ram ad.
It WAS too long & cornball…and let’s face it far fewer Americans are farmers–or have relatives who were farmers–than live in cities.
And yet, maatkare, without those few farmers, and the values they embody, you’d starve to death.
you missed the entire point, had nothing to do with being a farmer or knowing one…wow
The tag line was literally “For the farmer in all of us.”
Dodge’s farm ad missed the mark. Using an old scratcy recording of a now-dead radio personality (Harvey died in 2009) – who many of the 18-34 demo doesn’t know – attempted to play on the heartstrings of an industry that is much different than the one described by Harvey. The Norman Rockwell-ian idea of the family farm has been disappearing for years, replaced with factory farms. Or worse, family farms bought by large agri-businesses (ConAgra, et al) where the family essentially beacme tenant farmers meeting company quotas.
The ad commanded your attention simply because you just didn’t know what they were selling until the end. For me, the end was a disappointment.
It could have been worse – it could have been Clint Eastwood instead of Paul Harvey.
DEFINITELY too long.
Oh, and when has Hollywood ever been in touch with Middle America??
Goat 4 Sale won the night.
They were ALL bad.
Best: Audi Prom, Clydsdales
Worst: GoDaddy, Farmer Ram
Best: Audi Prom, Dodge Farmer
Worst: Psy
Two most clever adds were blackberry Z 10 and gopro hero 3 camera. Funniest was the kia add I think. Thought go daddy was stupid.
No Great ads this year, but I did enjoy the Audi Prom and the Tide Montana stain spots. I alao enjoyed the Kia baby and the Taco Bell ‘Cocoon’ spots.
Like some above said-Coke race was awful, Go Daddy was not fun or funny (and having Danika
voice the concept as if she were in a pitch meeting was awful),
The go daddy commercials are bad, but they keep people talking. Tis the point.
True and the plain guy/gorgeous girl pair up is so unoriginal.
Unoriginal and ridiculous. That happens in real life 1 in 100,000 times. Give me a break. It was beyond stupid.
Yes… their sexist-trashy ads are incredibly effective. And I actually like them for that very fact, they work!
E X A C T L Y my point. The Trump said it best. There is no such thing as bad press. Was it good? No, was it weird? Yes. But it has everyone thinking about it. There were plenty of other brands that people don’t even remember seeing. That is the point. No matter how bad you are, just make sure they talk about it.
Best: “Lucky Chair” and “Goat For Sale”
Worst: “GoDaddy” (just gross) and “Clydesdales” (too sappy)
