ABC Family is launching four new series this summer — family drama The Fosters, mystery drama Twisted, reality competition series Dancing Fools and docu-soap The Vineyard. That is up from three last summer, when the network introduced drama Bunheads and comedy Baby Daddy, both renewed for second season, and docuseries Beverly Hills Nannies, which was not. Like last summer, ABC Family will have three nights of original programming (Monday-Wednesday). They will feature new episodes of eight original series including returning Pretty Little Liars, Switched At Birth, Baby Daddy and Melissa & Joey. Here is a list of the network’s summer premiere dates:

What is going on with The Lying Game. That show is great, and needs to be renewed!
What this press release fails to mention is that the entire pilot of “Twisted” will air March 19 at 9PM after the Pretty Little Liars finale. According to the official ABC Family schedule site.
Why isn’t there a Summer premiere for The Lying Game?
Because the show might be cancelled. it hasnt gotten’ renewed yet.
Why is The Fosters, a new show, premiering a week before Switched at Birth? That seems like bad scheduling unless the network is confident the show doesn’t need lead-in support.
And Twisted is airing it’s pilot next week. Weird scheduling all around.
Nevermind, I just read The Fosters is premiering after The Secret Life’s finale. That makes a lot more sense.
i don’t understand why abc family hasn’t been promoting Twisted when all the tv guides say the pilot is airing next tuesday? they expect people to watch a show they don’t promote?

I’m not sure what you are watching, but if I see one more Twisted promo (especially since they don’t really tell you anything about the show except it has lots of very pretty people and some intrigue) I am going to scream.
Wonderful news that BUNHEADS has been renewed, but this is the first I’ve heard of it. Was there actually an announcement?
Sadly I’m pretty sure they’re just counting its winter premiere season as a second season, when really it’s just the second part of the first season. Please get renewed!

I would love to meet someone who would watch ‘Dancing Fools’ and actually enjoy it. I would want to see what makes them ‘tick’. What would compel a person to enjoy cheesy people dancing like “fools” when they could watch actual entertainment just about anywhere else?
I am waiting patiently to hear if Bunheads will be renewed. I do think, as Mike stated, the article referred to the second season actually being the winter premiere of the first season. Why is it that ABC Family feels the need to start new shows when they have a real winner in Bunheads! In my opinion, they would be ultra foolish to let this gem of a show go. Long live Bunheads!
I agree with you. Bunheads is the best show that I reviewed on my eyes. There is an inspiration of ballet and dancing inside the people’s dreams as long as they give the content of the storyline between the characters and plot. This show gave me the chills while I was watching all episodes of Bunheads. It is a realistic show because it give a life to compare from the show to the real life of the ballet dancers. But it is not only prior to the ballet dancers and it is generally everything prior to any related to life. That’s all I can say about this show, it was the best-amazing show that I have ever seen in my television collections.
AMEN TO THAT!!! WAITING THE SECOND SEASON.
If Bunheads wasn’t renewed past February, the author of this article needs to clarify that because I’ve seen two other web sites reporting that Bunheads has been renewed based solely on this article.

the season just ended so they probably haven’t gotten around o a decision about it. They aren’t going to air new episodes of all their original shows in the summer. they need to divide them up evenly so i think that is why lying game isn’t on here. I heard it probably will get renewed so don’t worry on that end.
