EXCLUSIVE: In her first TV gig since her memorable season-long arc on House, Amber Tamblyn has signed on as the female lead opposite Skeet Ulrich in the CBS drama pilot Anatomy Of Violence, written and executive produced by Homeland‘s Howard Gordon, Alex Gansa and Alex Cary and directed by Mark Pellington. Inspired by the nonfiction book by Adrian Raine, the 20th TV-produced drama centers on Raines (Ulrich), a maverick FBI Criminal Psychiatrist with an expertise in sociopaths who partners with Abby (Tamblyn), a young female FBI Agent with whom he shares a conflicted past. Abby joined the Bureau after watching her sister get traumatized at the hands of a gunman thirteen years ago. Anatomy of Violence brings Tamblyn back to CBS where she broke out as the star of drama series Joan Of Arcadia, which earned her an Emmy nomination. The actress, repped by UTA and Hyler Management, recently wrapped the indie 3 Night In The Desert.
