Private Practice alumna Audra McDonald has been cast in the CBS drama pilot The Ordained, executive produced by Frank Marshall. Directed by RJ Cutler from a script by Lisa Takeuchi Cullen, Ordained centers on Tom Reilly (Charlie Cox), the son of a Kennedy-esque family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer at a top New York firm to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated. McDonald will play Anthea, a senior litigator at the firm. McDonald is the second Private Practice co-star to book a pilot; KaDee Strickland is in NBC’s Bloodline.
Ella Rae Peck and Aramis Knight have been added to Welcome To The Family, NBC’s single-camera comedy pilot from Mike Sikowitz and Sony TV. It chronicles how cultures collide when a white family and a Latino family are bonded together by their children who fall in love followed quickly by an unplanned pregnancy. Peck will play Molly, the white teen girl who gets pregnant. Mike O’Malley plays her dad. Knight, repped by Osbrink and Ellen Meyer Management, plays the teen boy’s younger brother.

How is Ella Rae Peck getting away with playing a teenager? Girl looks old… and isn’t the best actress…
YEAH, Audra!! What a talented actress and singer! Loved her on PP, so happy to see her returning to TV.
I also love Audra, but I didn’t care for her on Private Practice. This lady is brilliantly talented, and she can do things that Streep cannot do. McDonald should be having a big time film career.
Along with Rod Gaspar, Ron Taylor, and Cal Koonce “Welcome” is shaping up to have a great cast… my pick for the lead guy’s father would be Ken Boswell.
How is Knight playing Latino, when he is not!
Love Ella Rae Peck !! Such a good actress. Hope to see more of her.
