Bravo has decided to postpone production on one of its two scripted pilots, The Joneses. The network and producing studio ABC Studios have had difficulties casting the project, based on the 2009 indie film, which is competing with some 100 broadcast pilots and a few cable ones for talent. The pilot, which has one actor cast, Max Deacon, will now proceed with casting and production after the end of the broadcast pilot season. It is the second cable pilot to do so, joining USA’s Horizon. The Joneses is one of Bravo’s first two scripted pilots ordered in December. The other one, Rita, was cast and is proceeding with production.

really thats their excuse the competition for talent is too much? Laughable… #LAMEEXCUSE
agreed. i could furnish at least two dozen actors and actresses that I know personally who could fill any of these roles. #industrybullshit.
why can’t they just say they’re looking for names and stop insulting our intelligence?
Well I suppose when everyone insists on fighting over the same 20 actors, this is what happens. Try coming out of your cave, Bravo. There are plenty of capable actors out there who are shamelessly ready to do anything you want for a dollar. Is anyone else insulted by this rationale? Just makes me interested to find out what’s really going on.
Nice to see them entering the scripted world but these ideas are weak and will be dead on arrival.
Also this was a Zalaznick green light which Bonnie will not want anything to do with.
This is terrible news. The Joneses was the pilot I was most excited about. Guess I’ll just have to be happy about seeing more cops who play by their own rules and lawyers who have a unique sense of justice.
All the brits and Aussies have been booked.
Well, we can’t cast it then.
Let’s put it on hold.
