TBS is close to locking in the leads of comedy pilot Ground Floor. Skylar Astin is in negotiations and Briga Heelan is set to star in the project, written by Lawrence and Greg Malins and directed by Gail Mancuso. Ground Floor, from Warner Horizon, is set in the world of corporate America and takes the Romeo and Juliet story to the workplace. It centers on Harvard grad and master-of-the-universe-in-training money manager, Brody (Astin), who falls hard for feisty and intelligent maintenance supervisor Jennifer (Heelan), whose education ended after high school — a Romeo/Juliet pairing that could rattle their class divisions to the foundations. The two would join previously cast John McGinley. Heelan is with Gersh and Thruline, Astin with UTA and Principal.
