Bryan Singer just tweeted that Fan Bingbing has been set to play Blink in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Bingbing recently starred in the Li Yu-directed film Double Exposure, which broke a box office record for an art film in China, and the Xu Zhen-directed film Lost In Thailand, which also broke a box office record of all Chinese films in China.
She can next be seen in F… I’m Pregnant by China/U.S. director Eva Jin, and The Bride With White Hair, by Hong Kong director Jacob Cheung. Later in 2013, Bingbing will be shooting The Lady In The Portrait, The Moon & The Sun and Empress Wu Ze Tian. She is also in negotiations to star in the sequel of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
She is repped by WME and Timothy Mou of FBB Studios.

LOST IN THAILAND made over a billion yuan! But seriously, folks, it cost less than $5 million to produce and grossed over $200 million, handily beating the Chinese release of TITANIC 3D. When was the last time a similar American film pulled off such a feat? MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING?
BLACK SWAN (2010) – B: $13M, WWBO: $328M, US: 106M
JUNO (2007) – B: $7.5M, WWBO: $227M, US: $143M
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY (2007) – B: $15K (thousand), WWBO: $195M, US: $107M
I could go on…
Paranormal Activity. 20k into 200 million
What’s your source? There is not tweet from Singer saying she ill be Blink :/
jeez, she’s chinese Kim Kardashian, y her? she’s not even a decent actor but a fashion event celebrity.
The same tweet also added Daniel Cudmore and Booboo Stewart to the cast
I predict one million fanboys will make a “Fan Bangbang” joke and think they originated it.
Please never mention my big fat Greek wedding, that movie was hell and yet for some reason it was a success. I would rather let bamboo grow through my fingernails then watch that movie again. IT’S FROM HELL!!!
Can she act? Can she speak English? This is bad news for American moviegoers and movies in general if the answer is “No.” There is a reason Shaq isn’t in movies anymore.
Fan Bing Bing has been an actress for over 15 years and has received numerous acting awards including the Best Actress award from the A-listed international film festival (TIFF) in 2010. She’s ranked No.1 in Chinese female celebrities in Forbe last year. X-men is considering her of course the number one reason is to tap into the China market. She is elegant, hot, sexy, and more a great actress, and even more she is the CEO of her own company FBB Studio, beauty and brains truly a powerful combination. I can’t wait to see her in this block buster Hollywood movie.
Is this just another obvious ploy to make the film more appealing to Chinese audiences and hence bring in the cash?
Is bling Asian? I was hoping she’d play Jubilee. BTW i could’t find said tweet.
I’m a fan of Fan. She’s pretty, even if she can’t act a damn!
Please believe her performance, will not let you down.
Don’t blink! You might miss the next Bryan Singer movie in your local theater after Jack the Giant Slayer.
