ABC’s Nashville is adding another heartthrob. The OC alum Chris Carmack is joining the soapy freshman drama as Will, a sexy and charming country singer and guitar player, the kind of guy men want to be friends with and women want to be with. Carmack will appear in six episodes this season, becoming a regular in Season 2. (ABC has not made renewals yet but Nashville is expected to get a pickup.) Carmack, repped by Innovative and Luber Roklin, has done extensive stage work on Broadway and in London.TV Editor Nellie Andreeva - tip her here.

“the kind of guy men want to be friends with and women want to be with.”
You underestimate us.
LOL!!!!
I want him to punch someone and say “welcome to Nashville, bitch.”
YESSS! A+ O.C. reference.
I like Carmack. Kind of a pulp actor, but it’s kind of a pulp show. And Into the Reef 2 wasn’t bad, despite being direct-to-DVD.
HAHA YES!!!
“the kind of guy men want to be friends with and women want to be with.”
Network TV, where press releases are the same quality as the product.
Maybe its wordage for ABC Hollywood to quietly sneak a gay character into the fictionalized bible belt.
Annnnnnnnnnd you were exactly right! After tonights episode, this show just took a crazy turn!
Nominee for best comment of the year
Wonder if they’ll hook him up with Juliette? It wouldn’t be the first time a male played by Chris Carmack was tied to a female played by Hayden Panettiere (“Alpha And Omega”).
From Derwood to Nashville. We are all proud!!
This is old news – Michael Ausiello released some weeks back.
It sounds to me like we have some jealous viewers. Maybe someone tried for the part and couldn’t cut it. Great show with fantastic characters. Keep it coming. Love the show. Sitting on the edge waiting for next week.
Love the show, all the foreshadowing and drama, it’s great. I can’t wait for the new episodes! Y’all got good nice video shots of Nashville
I wish they would just cancel Nashville. Too many little side plots. Storyline way too slow.
Everytime the writers add a character, they lose viewers. Has anyone been watching the ratings. Come on ABC. How about a show that doesn’t cater to couch bimbos.
