• Why is all of ABCs pilot casting Caucasian? There seems to be zero diversity with their casting this year

  • You’re kidding, right? Many of the roles cast at ABC have been filled with Non-Caucasian actors/actress. I normally wouldn’t comment, but this one thought is so out there that I had to…ABC’s casts are really diverse. They have actually won awards for it, Derek. This year looks no different.

  • I just can’t with people like you. Simply can’t. For example Jennifer Beals was cast as lead in “Venice”. She’s biracial if I’m not mistaken. There are also others but I won’t name them for you. I just remembered her. You’re prime example of reverse racism and I’m gonna leave it at that.

• ABC is good at casting people of color as third and fourth leads and guest stars, but Kerry Washington is the only black lead of one of their shows. Hmmm, and what’s the hottest show on ABC right now that has the most people talking? Which is the show that shatters its own ratings records every week? People are ready. Viewers of all colors want something different. It is not just Black people that are watching Scandal.

• There are two network series right now with black female leads. A third series has a black female “guest star” arc running right now. As pointed out above, Jennifer Beals is cast in a pilot. Quit crying.

• Really? What comedy or drama pilot for ABC has a non white lead or even number 2? Contrast that with the other nets. Off the top of my head NBC has Craig Robinson, Blair Underwood

    When you get down to it ABC has more diversity then the others nets by a long shot. ABC consistently has more gays, African Americans, latino, and Asians then the other networks.NBC, FOX, and CBS are playing catch up. Hell look at CBS, Beverly Hill Cops so far has a black guy acting with a bunch of white actors and a famous guest star. Fox’s diversity as far as main actors begins and ends with Glee. NBC is trying but Deception was doomed from the get go because NBC prefers lame straight white people drama like Revolution, with the token black cast member. Community is the one truely diverse NBC comedy treated like crap.
