EXCLUSIVE: The ladies of The Mary Tyler Moore Show are back together on a sitcom stage. I’ve learned that Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper and Cloris Leachman will join their MTM co-stars Betty White and Georgia Engel in an episode of White’s TV Land comedy series Hot In Cleveland, on which Engel has been recurring. For Harper, the guest stint follows her recent announcement that she has a terminal brain cancer.

In the Hot In Cleveland episode, which tapes April 5, I hear Elka (White) and Mamie Sue (Engel) decide to get their bowling team, named GLOB: The Gorgeous Ladies of Bowling, back together. They reunite with former team members Diane (Moore), Peg (Leachman) and Angie (Harper). The quintet had a falling-out after their championship season went to their heads.
This is believed to be the first time the five former castmates will act in front of a camera since taping the MTM finale in 1977. It’s also Moore’s second visit to Cleveland — she previously played Elka’s cellmate in a Season 2 episode. Shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show paved the way for female driven comedies like Hot In Cleveland. Hot In Cleveland, toplined by White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, returns for its summer season with a live episode June 19. The series was just renewed for a fifth season, bringing its order to 104 episodes.

If you are in Canada you will find Rhoda, Mary Tyler Moore on a station called “Comedy Gold”
Uh, I think buying the DVD’s on E-bay would be a lot more economical than a trip to Canada – plus, you wouldn’t have to crash someone’s house just to watch TV.
Yes, let us be with Rhoda while we can. Watching some of the Rhoda shows would be fabulous. Listen up Networks, please. They were of the best.

The picture I saw of Hot In Cleveland of this reunion show had Lou and Muary in it so I guess their in it.Thankfully…………Ted Knight has moved on,as we all know…….but will be mentioned,for sure.

That is the best news I have heard. I just became a fan of Hot In Cleveland and have been catching up watching the Season DVD’s. This Mary Tyler Moore reunion episode is exactly what Valerie Harper needs right now and what a wonderful way to do it than with her long-time television buddies Mary Tyler Moore, Cloris Leachman, Georgina Engel and Betty White. Bless her heart. This is one episode I don’t want to miss.
I also want to see the episode with Carol Burnett and Tim Conway.

I have been watching and introducing all my frieds to the MTM Show and Rhoda ever since Valerie broke the news. All my friends who are in the thirties (including my husband) had never watched one episode of MTM. They loved, loved, loved it!!! “Rhoda” didn’t quite make an impression, we decided the humor on that show was much more “of those times” and wasn’t really relevant today. Yet we enjoyed watching Rhoda and Joe meet and date and get engaged and get married.
I also find it interesting that Betty White and Georgia Engel are together. They both starred in the “The Betty White Show ” after MTM ended. The show only last a season.
I have never gotten “into” Hot in Cleveland and yet now I may start becoming a fan, just because they are making this episode.
