Steven Soderbergh‘s Liberace pic debuts May 26 on HBO, taking a look at the famed pianist (played by Michael Douglas) and his life with lover Scott Thorson (played by Matt Damon). But while Soderbergh & Co. gave journalists a preview at the TCAs in January, the network’s newly unveiled Behind The Candelabra: The Secret Life Of Liberace teaser is a tease, alright — the 38-second video offers no footage, just a jazzy credits roll as piano keys fall to the sounds of “Begin The Beguine”. Watch it here:

Going to have to break my no-footage-teasers-suck rule as that was kind of fun
Sorry, the no-footage-teasers-suck rule is alive and well. That was pointless.
The teaser is a little more exciting when you’re watching it on HBO, with no clue what’s being advertised until the end.
not crazy about the teaser, but still nice to hear cole porter.
What could they possibly show that would’ve satisfied anyone? Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his gay lover. I’m so fascinated by how they’re going to do this that this is all I need to know going into it.
Biopics often fall short, either glossing over embarrassing details or choosing to focus on just a few key periods in the subject’s life. However, I am intriqued how HBO will be handling this, especially with such high-profile names as Douglas and Damon in roles that are way outside of their normal casting. Count me in.
Just glad they didn’t cast Pacino as Liberace.
This is not teaser. It’s credits. Show at least 5-10 seconds of footage or don’t release those stupid teasers like this.
