  • The teaser is a little more exciting when you’re watching it on HBO, with no clue what’s being advertised until the end.

• What could they possibly show that would’ve satisfied anyone? Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his gay lover. I’m so fascinated by how they’re going to do this that this is all I need to know going into it.

• Biopics often fall short, either glossing over embarrassing details or choosing to focus on just a few key periods in the subject’s life. However, I am intriqued how HBO will be handling this, especially with such high-profile names as Douglas and Damon in roles that are way outside of their normal casting. Count me in.

  Just glad they didn’t cast Pacino as Liberace.
