Hot off Blue Caprice being picked up by Sundance Selects this week, lead actor Isaiah Washington has new management. Two new managers actually. Instead of having an agency, Washington and his Coalhouse Productions have signed with both Caliber Media and Inqlusion Entertainment for representation in all areas. The former Grey’s Anatomy actor was previously with APA. In the Beltway sniper saga Blue Caprice, Washington plays John Allen Muhammad, the older of the two shooters who terrorized the DC and Baltimore area in October 2002. Acting as a father figure, Muhammad instructed Lee Boyd Malvo, played by Tequan Richmond in the film, in the ways of murder. Their rampage left 10 dead and three critically wounded. Washington also served as Executive Producer on the Alexandre Moors-directed film.
Blue Caprice debuted at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was acquired by Sundance Selects on Wednesday for a low seven-figure minimum guarantee for North American and Latin American rights. Washington will also be seen in the upcoming They Die By Dawn and The Trials of Cate McCall with Nick Nolte and Kate Beckinsale. The actor is in the John Sayles-directed Go For Sister, which debuts at this year’s SXSW Film Festival.

good for him
He paid the price for the supposed comments
As a gay man I say let him work again and learn from his supposed mistakes
This is awesome news! I loved Isaiah on GREY’S and can’t wait to see him on new projects!
Amazing. A perfect combo.
Another win for Caliber! Heard Blue Caprice was amazing.
great choice by Washington to go with Caliber!! Those guys will kill for him!!
Love Washington. He’s got a bright feature. This is a smart movie for him
Every body loves a come back story
Great actor! Great company!
Outstanding actor, now if he can just keep his mouth and ego in check.
This is such wonderful news. Cinema needs this man. A tremendous actor. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s how you come back that matters.
I see Isaiah has been posting under 20 different names here today. The man is a prick. Ask anyone who has ever met ir worked with him. He continues to get the poor karma that he has earned. Next.
I was thinking the same thing.
I worked with Isaiah and loved every minute of it. He was intense, focused and demanding of excellence. Qualities I enjoy in a fellow actor. Attributes that also can get you labelled “difficult” in Hollywood because you have standards. I won’t defend his comments but I will the artist.
Have you ever worked with Isaiah or do you base your judgement on hearsay? Having met the man and his family, I know him to be a loving husband and father, a humanitarian, and a generous man who built a school to educate hundreds of children in Sierre Leone, his ancesterial homeland. my own sense of fairness and decency informs me that each of us would fall short if we were judged based on one incident in our lives.
This guy sucks.
…meanwhile T.R. Knight is doing Dinner Theater in Tampa.
Wonderful! Isaiah is a great actor; many of his fans have waited for his return.
Good for you Isaiah! Don’t let hate-filled people stop you from accomplishing your goals. Best wishes.
great actor. i have missed him. but it is true that he should only speak publicly with words from a script…..
