Boss‘ Kathleen Robertson and Private Practice‘s Taye Diggs have been tapped as the leads in Murder In The First, TNT’s drama from NYPD Blue co-creator Steven Bochco. Co-created by Bochco and Eric Lodal, Murder In The First is a murder mystery set in contemporary San Francisco. Said to be in the vein of The Killing, it centers on two SFPD homicide detectives, Terry Seagrave (Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Robertson), as they take on a case that seems more like a maze. Both Robertson, repped by Innovative and Untitled, and Diggs, repped by ICM Partners, fielded interest from multiple pilots following the recent ends of their series, Starz’ Boss and ABC’s Private Practice, respectively.

Didn’t like BOSS or PRIVATE PRACTICE. Taye Diggs is the man. Kathleen Robertson is super talented. Glad they both have the chance to star in a fresh series.
Nice to see Kathleen Robertson land a gig post Boss. That show was one of the better things on television and Robertson was one of the best things about it. Looking forward to this.

Kathleen Robertson did a nice job on the show, but Nicole Forester was truly amazing on BOSS. She definitely deserves a major pilot shot.

Kathleen Robertson is brilliant. She works hard, understands her characters and brings it every take. Great get TNT.
Never seen kathleen robertson in anything where I wasn’t particularly drawn to her everytime she’s on camera. Smart casting, hopefully the shows as good as this cast on paper.
