EXCLUSIVE: After just more than a year in the job, Tim Connors has been let go as Chief Operating Officer of Legendary Entertainment. Sources close to situation confirmed his departure, and that the position has been phased out. As a replacement, Legendary chair and CEO Thomas Tull is said to be planning on bringing in an operations- and process-oriented exec from a Fortune 100 company to join the management team. Former Marvel Entertainment COO Connors was brought on board in February 2012 by Tull to handle day-to-day operations at the company. His brief stint included business affairs and working closely with Jon Jashni, company president and CCO. Before his four-year stint at Marvel, Connors worked in business affairs at DreamWorks SKG.

I’ve noticed that some Deadline readers will make a teasing “insider” comment like this without dishing any juicy details. A tad frustrating.
He was one of the visionaries at Marvel who helped them open the China market in ways no other studio has figured out. Super smart guy, forward thinker, and risk taker. He’ll make his next move count for sure!

Thomas Tull wants everyone that is part of Legendary to kiss his ass! Tull thinks he is the only visionary at Legendary and no employee will step on his toes. Tull has an employee who’s dad is associated with Saks Fifth Avenue; Tull gets his designer suites at a steep discount.

Ever since he’s joined Legendary, he’s been the most hated man at the company and on the lot. He had no vision at Marvel….that was all Feige. He accomplished nothing at Legendary.

As an employee of the company, I can tell you the opposite is true. Everyone loves Tim, really nice guy and easy to work with.

Legendary psychology test – Thomas/Jon, you forgot to send Tim my way for evaluation as you did a year ago with current employees. Less learned, don’t hire until psychology testing has been done……
Payback is a biotch. No one was more wiling to screw people for the bottom line. And no one got more joy in making it hurt than tim. Now he got screwed. No one who is sympathizing with him ever did a deal at marvel or legendary while he was there.

If they’re cleaning house it’s a shame they didn’t get rid of Jessica as well. She’s in way over her head but it hasn’t stopped her delusions of grandeur and power tripping. How many client relationships and deals does she have to set back? How many assistants and contract admins have to flee in horror? I feel bad for those kids. At least Tim had her number.
This is absolute crap. Jessica is rock star who actually gets shit done. If you must put up your anonymous cowardly digs to feed the fire of your grievances, at least try and stay on topic.

I’ve done several deals with Jessica over the past few months and found her to be very honest, hard working and efficient. Shame on you for trying to drag her good name through the mud. You are just ignorant and bitter.

I didn’t mention anything here that I wouldn’t be more than happy to repeat to her face or to anyone else at Legendary for that matter, not that her attitude and poor management is a secret at this point.
