TNT has greenlit Nashville Confidential, a new docudrama that will go behind the scenes in the “Country Music Capital of the World.” The unscripted series is being produced by Evolution Media (The Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), with Evolution’s Douglas Ross, Greg Stewart and Alex Baskin serving as executive producers. TNT has ordered eight episodes of Nashville Confidential, which is slated to launch in early 2014.
Nashville Confidential is set in and around the high-stakes country music business based in Nashville, Tenn. Centering on some of Nashville’s most compelling power couples, the show provides an alluring and unprecedented glimpse behind the scenes of one of America’s most unique, vibrant and competitive cities.
Nashville Confidential joins a growing stable of original unscripted series on the TNT slate, which includes the currently running docudrama Boston’s Finest, a look at Boston law-enforcement officers from executive producer Donnie Wahlberg. Three new unscripted dramas will launch this summer, including The Hero, a competition series headlined by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson; 72 Hours, a race-against-the-clock competition show set in the wild; and Cold Justice, which follows two top-notch female investigators as they dig into murder cases that have gone unsolved for years. TNT also recently announced series pickups for Save Our Business (working title), in which British entrepreneur and millionaire Peter Jones helps save struggling businesses and prevent them from collapsing, and Life Flight, a riveting unscripted docu-drama that follows air-ambulance teams as they race to save lives.
