House alum Omar Epps, Kurtwood Smith and youngster Landon Gimenez round out the cast of ABC drama pilot The
Returned, from Brillstein Entertainment, Brad Pitt’s Plan B and ABC Studios. The three are set for lead roles in the project, written by Aaron Zelman and directed by Charles McDougall. It chronicles how the lives of the people in Arcadia are forever changed when their deceased loved ones return. WME-repped Epps plays Martin Bellamy, an agent with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Smith plays Harold (Smith) whose dead son Jacob (Gimenez) is among the returned.

It’s hard enough getting through immigration & customs. Getting through after you died & “returned” has gotta be even worse…
The same old people in the same old parts. You can tell already which pilots are going to make it and which are not, yet they’re throwing away millions on them anyway.
Doesn’t anyone in a position to make decisions think that our audiences want to see new story lines with new faces to bring them to life? Instead of recycling, as Jennifer put it; “the same old people in the same old parts”..?? Step outside the box, take a chance on fresh talent and new ideas. I know I’d appreciate the change. Even reality tv shows are reusing old faces. All star reunion crap. Come on Hollywood, go back to your pioneering days.
