Sarah Bolger extending her relationship with ABC with a lead role in the network’s single-camera comedy Mixology, directed by Larry Charles from a script by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Set in the world of a sexy Manhattan bar, Mixology, from ABC Studios, chronicles the exploits of singles, five guys and five girls, in search of love — all over the course of one night. Bolger will play one of them, Janey, Jessica’s (Alexis Carra) sweet, naive, little sister from New Jersey. Tonight is her big night in the city and she is woefully unprepared for the aggressive Manhattan dating scene. CAA-repped Bolger recurs on ABC/ABC Studios’ Once Upon A Time as Princess Aurora last season starred in their Shonda Rhimes-produced pilot Gilded Lilys. The Tudors alumna toplines two indies that are yet to come out, Crush and Kiss Me.
Mark Hildreth has joined another ABC/ABC Studios pilot, drama The Returned, from Brillstein Entertainment, Brad Pitt’s Plan B and ABC Studios. Written by Aaron Zelman and directed by Charles McDougall, the project chronicles how the lives of the people in Arcadia are forever changed when their deceased loved ones return. Hildreth, repped by Untitled and SMS, will play Preacher Tom Hild, the local minister, who starts to question his beliefs when the dead start coming back.
Leslie Bibb has been tapped for a guest starring/recurring role in Jason Katims’ NBC comedy pilot About A Boy, which follows the relationship between Will (David Walton), a bachelor man-child who is going through a revolving door of women, and the young boy (Benjamin Stockham) who moves in next door with his kooky single mother, Fiona (Minnie Driver). Bibb plays a professional cello player and a single mother who becomes entangled with Will.

I’m selfishly hoping Mixology doesn’t get picked up because I want Sarah back on Once Upon a Time.
It won’t. It’s a dull, unfunny single camera that doesn’t really have a place on ABC since they couldn’t figure out DON’T TRUST THE B.
Professor Falken
why leslie bibb is not a bigger star i do not know………
Yeah, Leslie Bibb is a great talent in both drama and comedy. She definitely deserves more attention.
And shes pretty easy on the eyes, too, lol! And Dame Sarah as a Jersey Girl-WTF? It didnt work too well for Janet Montgomery, a fellow Brit chick!
Jason, I was having this same conversation about her earlier this week. For whatever reason something about her doesn’t connect. Is it that we have too many blondes? Or maybe she’s in that weird realm where she’s not a “fresh” face because we’ve all seen her plenty, but not enough star quality to stand on her own? Interesting case, that one.
The problem is that in too many projects the female “star” parts are deadly dull. Just look at Natalie Zea: this year she graduated to a big lead on a big show, and she has nothing to do but look worried and wring her hands. She’s good at it, don’t get me wrong, but when she was a “mere” supporting player on “Dirty Sexy Money” she was spectacular, because she got to play an actual character. Leslie Bibb was vivid and memorable in character parts in “Nip/Tuck” and “Popular”, less so at the center of “GCB.” Talent, beauty, and work get rewarded with supposedly plum parts that aren’t actually interesting to play, and then when the character goes flat we blame the actors (usually actresses), saying “oh, guess they just don’t have ‘it.’”
She never lucked out with a hit series after Popular.
Mixology is a boom or bust pilot. Cast of newcomers, could be a breakout, maybe it won’t. GREAT director (Larry Charles), but he is sorta ahead of his time. I heard it’s undergoing rewrites. It’s really all up to the cast.
Yay for Mark Hildreth. I loved him as Joshua on V, I hope this is a success for him.
TOTALLY MAJOR CONGRATS Mark!! Can’t wait to see you back on ABC
Well given that Sarah is Irish she should be able to avoid that curse .
