I wish they would announce a cable network already!! I can’t watch videos on the internet
Yes you can.
Actually, no I can’t. It’s not possible in the area I live. The internet speed and connection is horrible.
Late comment, but I’m assuming they either don’t offer DSL in your area or only a low speed option. If it’s dial up, it isn’t even worth it, if it’s, say, 1.5mbs dsl, you should be able to view, it just might not be quite as smooth as faster dsl,et.al.
I guess you won’t watch it all, not likely it’ll be on cable at all, sorry
Sandra – they are unfortunately NOT airing on television. I would recommend purchasing a computer (if you don’t have one) and paying the $7.99 a month for HuluPlus. You can get the regular Hulu for free but it you won’t see the shows same day and you will have to sit through commercials. We NEED EVERYONE to watch these online if they have any chance of continuing.
I found out earlier this week that an All my children actor confirmed they will air on cable. And there have been rumblings about Prospect Park seeking both American and Canadian channels– so yes, it all works out, they will air on cable too (thankfully). I just am impatient lol.
I hope so much that it is on cable as I only have an I-pod and I do not get all thing as I do not have a flasher player..I’m new at this computer stuff so it would be great if it was on cable or soap net. Do you know if it will be on cable and what channel? Thanks so much and I’m just hoping it will be as I have been watching both shows since the beginning..
Hi there, currently they haven’t made an announcement about which cable channel OLTL and AMC will air on (and at what time), but what we do know is that they plan to air them on cable. If those plans pan out, I’ll definitely be telling everyone I know what channel to tune in and when, but as of now there hasn’t been anything official announced. I’m simply hoping that they announce something very soon, as all too many people cannot watch online, but truly wan’t to be able to watch in a way that is possible for them, meaning cable.
So, stay tuned for future announcements on this matter. I hope they announce something very very soon.
flash players are free. just download. to make it easy, just go to cnet.com and search flash players. I recommend the Adobe flash player.
what your reading is wrong, they have announced OVER and OVER, that it will ONLY be online
Does anyone know if these will be recordable? Sometimes I have to record due to school schedule. Also, will I be able to watch on hulu if I am away from my residence?
Linda, you must not know that there is no need to record shows you view on Hulu! And if you are away from your residence but have a mobile device with you, of course you can view Hulu on the internet. That’s the whole point of having the shows on Hulu–they are there whenever you are ready to view them!
I don’t mind the commercials. I’m happy with the shows coming back, and commercials will help keep them going.
But their not saying what time they’ll be on
They need to make an agreement with SoapNet.
Bob I agree with you they should make a deal with soap net. I still watch the old episodes faithfully.
You do know that SoapNet’s days are numbered, right? Just as these shows were cancelled, a network devoted to them is also seen as no longer a relevant piece of real estate.
Wasn’t SoapNet supposed to be off the air by now and replaced by a channel aimed at tween boys or something?
Yes, unfortunately SoapNet days are numbered and they will be going dark this year. These shows will ONLY be viewable online. Their target audience are 18-49 that watch their entertainment on platforms other than tv. People need to invest in a low cost computer and watch these shows and stop asking when they will be broadcast on tv.
SoapNet is not carried by many cable companies anymore. It would defeat the purpose of getting the shows in peoples’ homes if they go with a network that probably won’t be on the air in two years.
Why? Just spend $49 to $89 for a Roku or AppleTV that you can hook to your TV to watch Hulu Plus or iTunes?
It’s also very easy to run an HDMI cable from a laptop to a TV and use the TV as a monitor.
This is really simple stuff. Just go to BestBuy or your Apple store and ask for advice.
We live in rural Midwest area. We have antenna TV only (HD at least now!) and HugesNet for internet service – a satellite that is sloooooow & costly and takes away speed with very many downloads. Suggestions? Still don’t care if I ever have cable/satellite tv with all the junk on now. WOULD like to be able to watch my old soaps, AMC & OLTL, though!
seriously, don’t be so ignorant. I watched the very first episode of All My Children many years ago. It was heartbreaking to see both OLTL and AMC be cancelled. Somethings are not that simple for us old timers.
I agree Barbara! LOL old habits die hard..AMC is one of my few ‘escapes’! It would be nice to be able to get all seasons on DVD ! I missed a few years and would love to be able to find out where some of the final cast were written into the script. Crazy. Right?
That’s basically what I do. I have my 32″ TV as my monitor and the big screen in the living room. Obviously, it’s hooked up with HDMI, so hopefully the shows will be broadcast in 720p. However, I’ll be happy with 480, I’m just happy that I’m moving back to Llanview.
Not gonna happen. With Prospect Park and ABC going at it, I can say what I stated. Soapnet is owned by ABC.
As much as I loved these two shows, there is no way I will sit in front of a computer and watch soaps.
You don’t need to sit in front of a tv all day. By a streaming video device. There are many on the market, the easiest I have found is the Roku device, very easy to connect to tv with RCA jacks. If you have internet and set up to your WIFI connection very easy to follow, or you can connect cables all over. HuluPlus at $7.99/month is the best option. You can stream it anytime of the day. And typically the episodes would be there for a long time (unless they of course decide to remove them after a period of time).
Did not know soapnet was going away, what a shame…I guess eventually this may be how people will be viewing soaps as the traditional networks decide to get rid of the soaps and air crappy talk shows. Oprah should probably bring these to her Own Network help build her ratings for that channel
Your loss. All you need is at least a 26″, but I’d recommend a 32″ TV or monitor, an HDMI cable, and an easy chair with an ottoman. It’s 30 minutes, how uncomfortable can that be?
It is not going to be aired on cable tv, you need to go into hulu.com and sign up, it’s free! The 1st All My Children show will start on Apr. 29 @ 12:00, you’ll be able to log in to your account on Hulu and watch it there. Good Luck and happy watching…
I believe that there is only Hulu Plus now. No free Hulu anymore
People need to do a search before offering misinformation. There is most definitely free hulu.
there is NOT going to be a cable network. it will only be online
Whoop whoop…can’t wait for April 29 I’ll be counting down the days!
I am excited to but where is Kendall and Erica and Jackson and Tad not the same without them?
I remember watching the first episode of One Life to Live with the Woleks (have nots) and the Lord (the haves). That was a long, long time ago. I followed OLTL since then and was truly sad about it’s demise. The last year of the show was probably one of best since the writing was so good and the acting was at it’s best. I so missed Viki, Dorian, Bo, Nora and Blair, the rocks on the show. So much emphasis has beeen put on the young storylines, but without the “elders”, there would be no show. They are the pillars from which other stories are allowed to come to life. So I am so thrilled that Prospect Park has decided to bring it back. “Welcome Back” OLTL.
I can’t wait either I’m counting down with u
does no one else notice the black girl in life to live is wearing nothing below her waist?
The black girl aka Laura Harrier aka Destiny Evans is wearing a one piece black and white short-set outfit, with sexy cut-outs on the top. If you look at her waist you will see the black waist line that connects the top to the white bottoms.
LOL…SNAP!!!
I just can not wait for the shows to start. I just wish all the original folks would come back.
where is Rex and Gigi.come on guys, you know its not gonna be the same without them.what about Starr,Victor ,JHON?
I agree!!!! I will purchase Hulu . Hope these can be recorded. I have scheduled appts. I missed these two shows. Am watching GH so I still see these actors. Hope they do both shows. These are great actors and am so happy to have them come back!!!!
They will be downloaded during the afternoon, and can be watched anytime during the day. I’m pretty sure that’s what Prospect Park announced.
I am so HAPPY!!! Thank you!!! That pretty much sums it up!!!
I am very excited about both shows continuing and that so many series regs are returning to Pine Valley and Llanview…but will terribly miss LaLucci as Erica, Alicia Minshew and Michael Knight ..perhaps once she wraps Devious Maids,Lucci can return for an arc.. Are Easton, and Alderso remaining on GH? Howarth is listed as an OLTL cast member.
Nothing yet on Kristen & Mike. Roger will be back on GH. He’s only working with One Life To Live for 1 month. Does anyone know about Trevor St. John returning? I heard a rumor that he is, but have found nothing online about that.
Will also miss Jamie Luner on AMC. Why didn’t they bring her back? She wasn’t even in the picture with all the cast members. It’s like she never existed. Some network executives have their head up their you know what
Did anyone notice that Dorian is coming back to OLTL? Think they should have lots of the old favs return to bring back former viewers. GH is doing it with Luke, Laura et al. Rekindling old rivalries will draw in the curious. And soaps on computer? Genius. Now we can really watch at work
I can not wait for April 29th. I watched All My Children from the very first episode in 1970 until the very last episode and I have really missed it.
Awesome. Already bought my appletv.
How on earth are they going to pay these actors anywhere near what they deserve?
They’re not. These actors are going to be making a very very small portion of what they used to make which is why so many of the ones that have other career options aren’t coming back or are only coming back for brief appearances. Internet streaming may be considered the future of broadcasting but until enough people are willing to pay to watch these shows on a subscription or pay per view type scenario or either enough people start watching and the ad revenue can be increased dramatically nobody is going to be doing this long term as their main source of income. It’s just not feasible.
They might even be better online than they were on ABC. ABC had no respect for these shows.
I totally agree! I’ve read lots of comments from the actors that they have a lot more creative freedom.
I’m so excited!
I am so Happy that these shows are back!! I can’t wait to watch could someone tell me if you watch it on iTunes does it cost each episode to watch? I have Internet and a computer and an iPhone can I watch it on my phone?? And also how do you get hulu on your computer? Thanks!!
E
I won’t be able to watch this online either. Hulu is NOT available for Canadians.
Kelly you will be able to buy it on iTunes or if you know how to use a VPN, you can use a free program like Hotspot Shield, Hulu will think that you are in the US.
Won’t be the same without Ryan and Erica…….will still be watching though!
I’ll wait for the free Hulu episodes, but I’m glad OLTL and AMC will be back!
What is going to happen to Caleb Cortlandt,Greenlee,Tad, Ruth Martin, how will they explain their absence, will they explain the shooting, and will the scenery be the same. I am so happy they are coming back, it was so foolish for ABC to cancel them anyway, also will they be doing a crossover to One Life toLive like they used years ago? I wish they would bring the Tyler family back.
MAC without Erica? Hard to imagine. I hope Lucci comes back at some point (and I applaud her nailing of ABC execs over the demise of the show). As a longtime fan of the show, I also hope the writing is better now than it was in its last season.
i guess new eps with missing regulars we loved are better than no episodes at all. diodnt all my children end with a shot being fired>.. hope they pick it up from there.
So happy to hear this news! I can’t wait to see the “new” versions of these much missed soaps.
im so siked that my shows r coming back, i cant wait, but i have no idea about hulu, how do i sign up for it and what is the addy i have to go to watch my shows, i also need to know what time they r on. i was so so mad when they cancelled these shows, i think it was the biggest mistake they could have made, i boycoted channel 7 during the time my shows were on, yeah like i want to watch the chew, give me a break. so can someone please let me know what i need to do to be able to watch my favorite shows again, and by the way is susan lucci coming back ? i really hope so, same with kendell. Thank u for bringing my shows back, im so happy
I am thrilled, but they screwed around too long. So many significant characters are absent (many due to other obligations). I will be watching… but with a heavy heart that so many are missing. All My Children cannot possibly pick up where they left off… with the big cliff-hanger. Most of the people involved won’t be there to answer the questions of what happened. Oh well, still a super fan and still excited to have them back!
OLTL is the best soap. It has sincere drama, depth of character and does not take itself too seriously at the same time. My whole family loves OLTL and hopes for success and possible return of Rex, Gigi, Shane and of course, Victor!! Got LCD TV, PS3, Hulu etc. all set for 4/29
