EXCLUSIVE: Tom Berenger is set as a lead opposite Ramon Rodriguez in Fox’s drama pilot Gang Related, from 20th TV and Imagine TV. Written by Chris Morgan, directed by Allen Hughes and exec produced by Brian Grazer, Gang Related centers on Ryan Lopez (Rodriguez), a gang member sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department. Berenger, repped by Evolution, plays Sam Chapel, a tough, dynamic police chief who oversees the Gang Task Force. Berenger is coming off winning an Emmy for his co-starring role in the History miniseries Hatfields & McCoys.

I guess they draw from Westerns.
There are actors more cut from this world.
Maybe this will be as lame as Fast & Furious movies.
Broadcast Tv doesn’t have the credibility that cable has. Movie actors are willing to test the TV waters but most who still see a comeback in their feature career won’t bother with broadcast.
