David Anders (Once Upon a Time, Vampire Diaries) is joining the cast of USA’s Necessary Roughness as a recurring for Season 3. He joins John Stamos, who recently signed on to appear in all 10 episodes of Necessary Roughness‘ third season. Anders, repped by SMS and Liberman Zerman, will play Troy Cutler, second-in-command to Connor (Stamos) at V3, the world’s premiere sports and talent agency. Having sacrificed his personal life for his career, Troy gets satisfaction getting his hands a little dirty for the company – something that doesn’t sit well with Dr. Dani (Callie Thorne).
Also adding a new player heading into Season 3 is Adult Swim‘s live-action comedy series NTSF:SD:SUV::. Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) is joining the crime/terrorism drama spoof as a new regular, playing Daisy, the ‘Q’ tech expert of the NTSF:SD:SUV:: world. Production is under way in Los Angeles and London.

Why is Karen Gillan burying herself in that third rate show? She comes off a strong and beloved performance on Dr Who. She should be getting lead roles in those fancy British serials.
Adult Swim programs do surprisingly high ratings even at 12 or 12:30 a.m. (often the top-rated program in young adult demos at that time on ANY channel, including broadcast) and in at least some cases, cast members can easily come and go while working on other projects. So it’s a no-brainer. Also, NTSF: SD: SUV may not be as funny as Children’s Hospital but it’s done some hilarious episodes nonetheless.
Well, David Anders is the bad Nico version
David Anders is the bomb ! He owned Alias and Heroes. I don’t understand why he is not co-leading a major drama or action show.
P.S. Anders does the best accents.
Dont get why a up and coming actress like Karen Gillan would join a crappy Adult Swim show. Maybe it a favor to a friend or someone in blackmailer her
because its a funny show and people will watch it
More people watch Adult Swim than Dr. Who. Just sayin’.
