EXCLUSIVE: Resolution has signed Peter Segal and his Callahan Filmworks producing partner Michael Ewing. They leave CAA and rejoin their longtime agent Adam Kanter, who with Martin Spencer made waves when they left CAA together to help start Resolution’s Motion Picture lit department. Segal is currently in post-production at Warner Bros on Grudge Match, the comedy that stars Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone as former boxers who get in the ring one last time to settle a long dispute. Segal directed it and he and Ewing are among its producers. The cumulative grosses of Segal’s films, including The Longest Yard, 50 First Dates, Anger Management and Get Smart, put him over $1 billion, but the one I’ll always treasure most is Tommy Boy, which best brought Chris Farley’s unique charm and physical comedy talents to the big screen. Segal is still repped by attorney Lawrence Rose.

Between Kanter and Spencer, they’ve so far brought over Collateral scribe Stuart Beattie, and Bourne Identity helmer Doug Liman.
