The NBA and NHL playoffs are over and The Voice has wrapped for the season, but the network reality battles were in full flight last night. Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance (1.6/5) had its first live show of the summer season. With the Top 20 dancers making their moves and Wayne Brady joining Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy at the judges’ table, the two-hour show rose 14% from last week. That wasn’t the only double-digit rise for SYTYCD — the show was up 16% in viewers to 4.4 million. After being off for three weeks because of the NBA Finals, Extreme Weight Loss (1.2/4) packed on some ratings pounds in its return. Tied with its May 28 premiere for a season high, the two-hour show was up 20% from its June 4 show.

On NBC, the lack of The Voice as a lead-in took a toll on America’s Got Talent (2.6/8). Yes there was some amazing soul singing, a couple in silly chicken outfits and AGT was the most-watched show of the night with 9.97 million viewers. However, it dropped 13% from its June 18 show in adults 18-49 to hit a Season 8 low. Preceding AGT was an encore of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers at 8 PM (1.1/4) and an original at 8:30 PM (1.1/4). The new Off Their Rockers was even with the show’s last original March 19. NBC won the night in total viewers (8.009 million) and the demo.

CBS was all encores.
