Al Jazeera America continues to bolster its staff ahead of its U.S. launch next month. The news channel has hired Sheila MacVicar as a correspondent for its daily primetime current affairs magazine program America Tonight covering the economy, international affairs, government, education, healthcare and the environment. She’ll be based in the Washington, D.C. bureau. MacVicar most recently served as international correspondent for CBS News. She previously worked as a foreign correspondent for CNN, ABC News and CBC News.
