Toronto/Los Angeles/London – July 30, 2013 –Entertainment One (“eOne”) announced today that it has acquired rights in English speaking territories to the upcoming feature film comedy Teen Lust, which is set to begin production mid-August in Canada. eOne will handle distribution of the film in the US, Canada, UK, Australia/NZ and South Africa. Jeff Sackman’s TAJJ Media will handle international sales.

In Teen Lust, an awkward high school student must lose his virginity before being sacrificed by a local religious cult. The film stars Cary Elwes (Saw, The Princess Bride), Kristin Bauer van Straten (“True Blood”), Jesse Carere (“Skins”), Daryl Sabara (The Philosopher, Machete) and Annie Clark (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”).

Blaine Thurier (A Gun to the Head) is directing the film that he co-wrote with Jason Stone (This Is The End). Kyle Mann (Capote, Wrecked) is producing the film via his Independent Edge Films banner. TAJJ Media’s Jeff Sackman and Farpoint Films’ Kyle Bornais and Scott Leary will executive produce.

David Reckziegel, President eOne Films, North America, who negotiated the deal on behalf of the company stated, “Blaine, Jason, Kyle and Jeff have created a fresh concept for a comedy that we believe will connect with multiple audiences. Acquiring all rights to a project in its early stages allows us to have guaranteed product to release through our pipeline and is a nice complement to our efforts of acquiring finished films as well.”

Producer Kyle Mann stated, “It’s a pleasure to once again be working with David and the eOne team. We’re assembling a great cast and Blaine is going to deliver a truly cutting edge and subversive comedy.”

Carere, Sabara and Elwes are represented by APA. Clark is represented by Norbert Abrams. Bauer and Elwes are managed by Kritzer Levine Wilkins Griffin Nilon Entertainment, Carere is managed by Artists Representation Company, and Sabara is managed by Untitled Entertainment.
