Karlovy Vary Film Festival  TravoltaHungarian director János Szász took home top Grand Prix honors for the WWII-set The Notebook (Le grand cahier / A nagy füzet) at the 48th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The Czech fest also awarded a special jury prize to UK director Ben Wheatley for his 17th century period pic A Field In England, which will open stateside later this year via Drafthouse Films. John Travolta, Oliver Stone, and Theodor Pištěk received the Crystal Globe Award for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema. Check out the full list of 2013 Karlovy Vary winners:
