Lionsgate has just announced via Twitter that Natalie Dormer has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 in the role of Cressida. Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on the Suzanne Collins novel Mockingjay, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 make up the third and fourth installments of heroine Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) journey as she leads a rebellion against the autocratic Capitol government.  Dormer currently stars as Margaery Tyrell on HBO’s Game Of Thrones and will be seen in Ron Howard’s Rush next month as well as Ridley Scott’s The Counselor in October. She has also completed production on the indie film Posh. Dormer is represented by UTA, Untitled Entertainment, and United Agents.

The first installment of The Hunger Games franchise grossed nearly $700 million at the worldwide box office. The second film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, opens worldwide on November 22. The Hunger Games:  Mockingjay – Part 1 will be released worldwide on November 21, 2014. Mockingjay Part 2 opens November 20, 2015.
