Peter Fonda has been cast as a recurring guest star in Lifetime’s drama pilot HR. He’ll play Jonathan Quaff, one of the founders of the company Ellen (Alicia Silverstone) works for as Director of Human Resources. After a head injury alters her outlook on life, Ellen throws standard corporate practices out the window and inspires the business to strive for new ambitions and profits. Jonathan is bowled over by Ellen’s unorthodox and shocking ideas on how to upgrade the company’s image while keeping everyone happily employed. Christopher Backus (Elevator) has been set as a series regular in Lifetime’s backdoor pilot Deliverance Creek from Nicholas Sparks Prods. and Warner Horizon Television. He’ll play Jasper, the charismatic brother of Belle Barlowe in the period drama that’s set at the end of the Civil War. Written by Melissa Carter, the series centers on Belle who attempts to defend her family’s land by any means necessary. When the corrupt bank that runs their town pushes Belle into becoming an outlaw, the stakes become personal, setting off a chain of events that force her to question whether it’s better to be good or to survive. Dylan Gelula will co-star in TV Land’s half-hour comedy pilot Jennifer Falls. She plays Gretchen, the energetic and complicated daughter of Jennifer (Jaime Pressly), who is clearly bummed about leaving her old life and moving in with her grandmother. Missi Pyle also stars. Gelula, repped by Carson-Adler Agency, Paradigm and Michael Einfeld Management, is recurring on ABC Family’s Chasing Life. On the film side she is in August: Osage County.
