Sharon Lawrence, Andrew Howard (Hatfields & McCoys), Arielle Kebbel and newcomer Jaina Lee Ortiz have been cast in The After, the Amazon Studios pilot that marks The X Files creator Chris Carter‘s return to series. They join Jamie Kennedy, Adrian Pasdar and Aldis Hodge. The After, produced by Georgeville TV, takes place at the moment of apocalypse. Lawrence, repped by APA, will play Francis, a wealthy mysterious woman who resides in Bel Air. Howard, repped by ICM Partners and KLWGN, will play McCormack, a tall foul-mouthed, sarcastic and sardonic Irishman. Kebbel, repped by Paradigm and Principal Entertainment, will play Tammy, a sexy, professional woman. Ortiz, repped by New Wave Entertainment and attorney Lev Ginsburg, will play Officer Marly Gonzalez, a young police officer.
Amy Price-Francis has been cast in Amazon’s other drama pilot Bosch, a police procedural based on Michael Connelly‘s novels about Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), a veteran police homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. Price-Francis, repped by David Dean Management, AMI and Stuart Rosenthal, will play Sunny “Money” Chander, an attractive and exceptionally good lawyer representing Rosa Flores, whose husband Roberto, a suspected serial killer, was killed four years ago by Bosch, and Chandler’s job is to destroy Bosch in court.
