The company has picked up domestic theatrical rights to the pic about “Tanny” Le Clercq, who became a muse for George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins before her career was cut short by polio in 1954 at age 27. Director Nancy Buirski’s documentary Afternoon Of A Faun: Tanaquil le Clercq played at the New York Film Festival last month, and it will bow in NYC on February 5. Kino Lorber will follow with a national release. American Masters, which co-produced the docu, holds the TV rights.
